Pitch313

FAQ

What are the goals of the Pitch313?

With the support of CODE2040, Google, Grand Circus, in addition to various local organizations, Pitch313 is a pitch competition exclusively for Black & Latinx founders in Detroit.

Why are we doing this?

Approximately 1% of all VC funding is given to companies led by Black & Latinx founders. The numbers are even lower for women led early stage companies. The event provides an opportunity for these underrepresented groups to receive some foundational resources to get their idea, concept, or business off of the ground.

What are the benefits of the Pitch313 for applying companies?

  • Through the Pitch313 Pitch Competition, early-stage companies will have the opportunity to gain pivotal exposure to stakeholders, market leaders, and influencers in the tech industry. All submissions will be reviewed by members of the Pitch313 Committee, and eight finalists will be asked to pitch.
  • Finalists will receive real-time feedback from industry expert judges.
  • Cash and non-cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finalists
